Itinerary:
Saturday, August 7—fly from Oakland
at 10AM to Seattle, arriving at noon, where you’ll be
met and transferred to the lovely Vintage Park Hotel. This
luxury boutique hotel is located in the heart of downtown,
within walking distance of Pioneer Square, Pike’s Place
Market, the theater and arts district and the waterfront neighborhood.
The afternoon and evening is yours to enjoy the attractions
of the city or perhaps venture out on a harbor cruise or an
excursion to Mt. Rainier.
Sunday, August 8—This morning board
the Amtrak Cascades train for a scenic morning rail trip to
Vancouver, Canada. A perfect time to relax and enjoy the beautiful
Pacific Northwest as you roll along. You will be met and transferred
to the Marriott Pinnacle Hotel, located in the central business
district, a short walk from the waterfront, Stanley Park and
famous Robson Place shopping. Afternoon and evening are yours.
Your options include a city tour, a mountains and sea tour,
the Vancouver Aquarium and so much more.
Monday, August 9—This morning you will
travel by minicoach and the B.C. Ferry to the lovely city
of Victoria on Vancouver Island. Here you’ll be treated
to a tour of world-famous Butchart Gardens. Your afternoon
and evening is free to enjoy. Why not plan a city tour, tea
at the Empress Hotel, a visit to the Eternal Egypt Exhibit
at the Royal BC Museum or a five star whale watching trip?
Overnight is at the 5-star luxury hotel, the Hotel Grand Pacific,
located downtown on the picturesque inner harbor. In this
quaint city you will have many options for culinary, cultural
and nature adventures.
Tuesday, August 10—Return to Seattle
via a fast and comfortable Victoria Clipper vessel. Enjoy
the 3 hour passage with a light lunch aboard. You will overnight
once again at the Vintage Park Hotel. This evening you have
tickets to the Seattle Mariners vs. the Minnesota Twins baseball
game.
Wednesday, August 11—Sightseeing and
shopping on your own in downtown Seattle. Meet the group for
luncheon at Cutter’s Bayhouse in Pike Place market.
Late afternoon transfer to the airport for your flight departing
Seattle at 7:12 PM. Arrive Oakland 9:18 PM.
